At Leominster Animal Hospital, we offer a variety of services to care for your pet. If you have any questions or would like more information on how we can care for your pet, please contact us today.
Exams and Consultations
Our staff will get a chance to talk to you and see if you are having any trouble with your pet. We will also go over diet, preventative medicine, and exercise to ensure that your pet is as healthy as possible. Then, one of our veterinarians will do a complete physical examination on your pet. It is always good to have a baseline in case your pet ever becomes ill. We also want to monitor your pet’s weight, ensuring that your pet stays a healthy weight. It is much easier to start a diet when a pet is a pound overweight instead of fifteen! Our veterinarian will also look for any potential problems. Our goal is to catch any problems before they become major ones. The sooner that we are able to catch a problem, the easier it is to treat it and the more likely that your pet will make a full recovery!
At Leominster Animal Hospital we believe that regular checkups and wellness exams are critical to your pet’s well-being. We encourage annual physical examinations, which include vaccinations, blood work, fecal testing, dental evaluations and nutritional counseling. As your pet matures from a kitten/puppy to an adult and then onto a senior, we offer comprehensive wellness strategies that will enable you to plan for each life stage of your furry friend, as well as the unique health needs associated with these stages.
Please contact us today at (978) 534-0936 to schedule your pet’s annual examination.
Dental care is vital to the overall health of any pet. Dental disease, specifically periodontal disease, is one of the most common ailments affecting our canine and feline patients. The infection can easily spread from the gums throughout the body via the bloodstream and can lead to health issues with the heart, liver, and kidneys. In fact, over 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over the age of three suffer from some sort of dental disease.
The most effective way to protect your pet from dental disease is through professional cleanings. We offer comprehensive dental services, including ultrasonic cleaning, polishing, and dental extractions. We also offer a variety of at-home dental care products that can help keep your pet’s teeth clean after the professional treatment.
