Dr. Sonia Dantas

Dr. Sonia Dantas, DVM, is a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian who brings a broad range of experience to her patients and clients. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After graduation, Dr. Dantas spent nearly a decade practicing medicine at a VCA hospital, where she built a strong foundation in high-quality, collaborative veterinary care. For the past several years, she has worked as a relief veterinarian, gaining diverse experience across small animal practices throughout the state. This role has allowed her to adapt quickly to different clinical environments and refine her skills while delivering consistent, thoughtful care. Dr. Dantas joined our team here at Leominster Animal Hospital in October of 2025. Her professional interests include surgery and diagnostic imaging, where she enjoys combining precision, problem-solving, and patient advocacy. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Dantas loves to travel and spend time in nature. She especially enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors with her dog, Remus, who is her constant companion on adventures.
